Workshop Overview
Facilitated by a Registered Nurse, this workshop is designed to provide staff with the knowledge and skills needed to ensure that each participant with diabetes will receive support relevant and proportionate to their individual needs.
Common diabetic emergencies, complications of diabetes and strategies for management of diabetes including lifestyle measures are discussed as well as common medications used to treat diabetes.

What is Included?
This is an interactive 2hr workshop that provides participants with the knowledge required to support a client who has diabetes and the opportunity for competency-based blood glucose testing practice.
